4-H Livestock Judging Looking for Members

Overton County 4-H is looking to increase participation in our 4-H Livestock Judging Program. This program is excellent for people who raise animals, want to raise animals, or appreciate livestock animals. Youth are challenged to learn about sheep, goat, swine, and cattle species, form opinions on these animals, and express their opinions under outstanding leadership.

Our current program is led by Coach Brad Bennett and Agent Nicole Bettencourt. Coach Brad is an expert at judging, coaching youth through oral reasons, and helps connect youth with future opportunities in the livestock industry. Mrs. Nicole helps youth perfect their terminology and learn about other aspects of the livestock care. Together they work hard to make sure youth feel included and have fun each week!

Current Members Include:

  • Koda Copeland
  • Abbigail Alford
  • Ben Shelton
  • Lettie Holt
  • Sarah Graff
  • Miriam Graff

If you are interested in getting a 4-H member more involved, please be sure to contact either leader or sign up for remind! We are excited to meet your kids and see them advance in agriculture.
