  • Can I lead any of these activities? YES! This is a great opportunity to showcase your leadership skills. Options include:
    • Workshops – Do you have exciting skills or knowledge that you want to teach others? Consider applying to lead a one (1) hour workshop. We recommend workshops consist of 30 minutes of hands-on activities and be taught by two youth and an adult.
    • Roundtables – Do you have an important topic that you’d like to discuss? Consider applying to lead a 20-minute roundtable. You will need to decide on a topic and a list of guiding questions that will help guide the discussion.
    • Pride of States – Do you have an awesome event, activity, project, or experience in 4-H that you want to share at SRTLC? Consider applying to show off your hard work and maybe someone will get a new idea to take home.
    • Talent Show – Do you have a talent that you want to show off to the southern region? We’d love to see it! Previous talent show ideas include a dance, contortion act, comedy routine, lip sync, skits, glow stick dance, jumping rope tricks, ventriloquism, musical acts and so much more!
  • What will I have to pack? There is a basic packing list below You will need bedding, clothes, toiletries, shirts for the shirt swap, and items for the state swap meet. In addition, you do not have to pack your f600a or f600b form IF you have turned it incorrectly to the extension office prior to the event.
  • Will there be an orientation or a readiness day? Yes! It will be online and the date will not be released until closer to the event.
  • Why attend? This event is a great opportunity to meet other 4-H members, figure out paths you may take in high school 4-H, meet people with all levels of experience in 4-H, and to have fun with like-minded peers.
