2026 State Fair Photo Challenge

The theme for the 2026 Wilson County and Tennessee State Fair Photo Contest is “All Things Trees.”

Eligibility                                                                                                                                                           

 Open to Any 4-H member in Tennessee

Divisions

  • Jr. Division:  Grades 4th through 8th as of January 1st, 2026                                
  • Sr. Division:  Grades 9th through 12th as of January 1st, 2026

2026 Theme

“All Things Trees!”

4‐H members can submit a photograph of anything that relates in any way to trees or forest products. This could be live trees, wood, wood products. etc. etc.

Process                                                                                               

  • Counties can submit up to 5 photos in each age division
  • ONLY 1 Photo per 4-H member can be submitted.
  • Photos must be received by 11:00PM EDT,  on Monday, July 27, 2026.
  • Photos need to be emailed to extension office.
  • Photo must be attached to the email with the file name of:
    • Division (JR or SR)
    • County
    • Name of 4-H member
    • Example JRBlountTomSmith
  • Also attach the Registration form the email. 
  • Photos will be judged on:
    • Photographic Quality,
    • Composition,
    • Originality
    • Relation to the Theme
  • Photos must have been taken since August 1, 2025.

Awards

  • Awards will be given to the top 5 photos in each Region in each grade division
  • The three winning Regional Photos will be judged to determine Best of Show
  • The top 5 photos in each region will be printed and mounted and exhibited at the Tennessee State Fair.
  • All Photos will be exhibited at the fair in virtual exhibit.

Premiums will be awarded in each division

  • First Place        $100
  • Second Place   $75
  • Third  Place     $50
