The 4-H Honor Club held its monthly meeting, focusing on both helping others and having a good time together. Members collected items for the Upper Cumberland Foster Care Closet, which provides clothes, hygiene products, toys, and other essentials for children in foster care. Everyone brought in donations and worked together to make a difference for families in need.
After the collection, the group switched gears for the fun part of the night, an improv activity. Members got to show off their creativity and sense of humor through acting games and spontaneous skits. There was a lot of laughter as everyone joined in and supported each other’s performances. Honor Club aims to help youth break out of their comfort zone and embrace the unknown. They definitely succeeded!
Overall, all members had a lot of fun serving their community and learning new acting skills. The 4-H Honor Club continues to show leadership, teamwork, and compassion through events like this one, proving that giving back can be both meaningful and enjoyable.
The next 4-H Honor Club meeting will be held on December 1st at the Overton County Health and Rehab Center. Members will be making gingerbread houses with the senior citizens, so please bring one gingerbread house kit per person. It’s sure to be a fun and festive way to kick off the holiday season! All 6th-12th graders are welcome to join. All youth must RSVP by contacting Mrs. Nicole.
