4-H For Good

Today, October 9th, is the day we celebrate 4-H for Good during national 4-H week! One of your next opportunities to participate in service work is October 20th! We are seeing 6th-12th grades and their families to participate in this one! Cedar Lake camp is a large camping program that loans meeting space to Overton County 4-H. In return we love to help them out with their campgrounds!

We will be participating in a trail maintenance project. We will meet at 4:00 PM at the Cedar Lake Cafeteria. Volunteers should anticipate wearing long sleeves, long pants, closed toed shoes and/or boots. We recommend protective gloves for hands. In addition, if the parent is present, the youth should bring stuff to clear the overgrowth like machetes or trimmers. We will meet back in the center of the lake at 5:15 PM to start our bonfire and conduct an Honor Club Meeting.

All youth must RSVP by contacting nmarrero@utk.edu.
