Whether your kids sew or don’t, there are two fun fashion events they can compete in!
4-H Fun with Fashion
The 4-H Fun with Fashion competition is a fashion and consumer economics practice for 4-H members. Each participant will choose classes based on their grade as of January 1 of the current year. Participants can enter one outfit in each class available for their grade level. Complete a script for each entry. The script should be based on the scenario for the class. Fun with Fashion scenarios is below. Before submitting your entry online, submit an example to Nicole Marrero at nmarrero@utk.edu by July 20th and she will help give you advice on how to improve. The deadline to submit to the state is August 1.
- Class 1: Athleisure Sports Wear Grades 4-5
- Class 2: Casual Wear Grades 4-5
- Class 3: Best Wear Grades 4-5
- Class 4: Athleisure Sports Wear Grades 6-8
- Class 5: Casual Wear Grades 6-8
- Class 6: Best Wear Grades 6-8
- Class 7: School Wear Grades 9-12
- Class 8: Snappy Casual Grades 9-12
- Class 9: Formal Wear Grades 9-12
Clover Collection
4-H Clover Collection – Co-Chairs: Starla Hardin& Mallory Christian
The 4-H Clover Collection competition provides 4-H members with the opportunity to show off their clothing construction and sewing skills. Submit a separate registration form for each category.
